What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners. Under EU regulation (the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), we are required to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies.
How We Use Cookies
We use two categories: necessary, which is always on, and analytics, which we only use if you agree. We use no cookies for marketing and share no data with advertising networks. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They support basic website functions and remember your cookie preferences. The website cannot function properly without them, and they cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Stores your cookie preference choices | 1 year |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your language preference | Session |
| zink_temadag_popup_seen_at | Remembers that you closed the panel about our zinc info days, so it does not reappear straight away | Until you clear your browser |
The last entry in the table is not a cookie but a note stored locally in your browser. It contains only a timestamp and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Visit analytics
If you agree to analytics, we load Vercel Analytics to measure page visits and understand which pages are useful. It is not loaded when you decline. Vercel describes the service as cookieless and anonymized; its own privacy information explains how it handles analytics data.
Managing Your Preferences
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner will appear allowing you to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category.
You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. The methods for doing so vary from browser to browser — consult your browser’s help documentation.
Third parties
We use no advertising networks, social media buttons, maps or videos that set cookies on our pages, and fonts are served from our own server. Vercel hosts the website and runs the contact form; if you agree to analytics, it also measures visits. Resend delivers contact-form messages to our business email provider, which stores them in our Linimatic mailbox. These services may process data outside the EU/EEA as described in our Privacy Policy.
