What is making a difference when German companies choose Danish suppliers as Linimatic?
We have addressed the question to director Reiner Perau from the Danish-German Chamber of Commerce:
”I am actually often using Linimatic as a good example”, Reiner Perau tells us and explains: ”When the large German car manufacturers do not easily see the Danish suppliers, it is due to the fact that most Danish companies are rather small. When Linimatic is still manufacturing parts, for cars like Audi, Daimler and BMW it is because you are working hard – and follow up on every lead you receive from German subsuppliers to the car industry”, Reiner Perau explains. He finds that the reasons for Danish companies having success in Germany are:

- They are well-prepared when taking contact – all documents are ready and they are prepared to answer all questions
- They are making the necessary follow up and are perserving when receiving a contact
- They are very flexible and delivering parts of high quality
Price and quality – but also nearby
”Price and quality are the top scores, when asking which factors are the most important when the companies are explaining who they are choosing to cooperate with”, Reiner Perau explains, ”But furthermore Denmark and the Danish companies have a good image in Germany. Next the geographic neighbourhood is important, compared to for example Asia”.
Flexible and highly innovative
”The innovation strength of the Danish companies is closely connected to the flexibility. The ability being able to adopt to the demands of the customers quickly and precisely. Being able to manufacture – also during the weekend – if there is a demand. It is also a quality worth to mention”, Reiner Perau concluded.
